Why is David smoking?
His life is tough and he is coping
I’m not sure, if he is doping
All his options he is scoping
He is sad, confused and moping
Empty room, vague sounds and something invisible he is groping
His feelings r complex, it binds like weak thread that he is roping
May be that’s why David is smoking
Or
Is it that because he is hoping?
Hope for what, what has life given him except choking
Or may be every puff gets in the happiness poke in
But isn’t that the way to live, to stand tall and mocking
Why should life win, when the time go clocking
As observer, I can never say how his expressions are locking
